I decided that since I'm talking to the CEO of a company I would make my design more simple and professional looking. Before it looked almost too friendly to be talking to someone older, who does not necessarily want cartoonish, and exciting. I kept the leaf theme for two of the designs and then did something completely different for the third one. I chose green, blue and brown to represent grass/trees, water and land/dirt.

Nicole I really like the last one because of the color choices and your reasoning for it too is great. It almost reminds me of their cradle to cradle design where it is cut in half, so it goes along with their theme very nicely. I also like the simple look because like you said, the simple look appeals to the CEO crowd. I actually enjoy the leaf logo design as well, but I'm leaning more towards the top one. I like the placement of the leaf better. But I might play around with the leaf a little more only because it might be a little close to looking like an apostrophe maybe? Maybe if it wasn't as tilted? or maybe tilt it towards the opposite direction? Just some ideas but very good so far!
ReplyDeletereally nice work, Nicole. I like the colors you used in the 3rd logo. However I like the 2nd logo more. Can you please the meaning of the lines in the 3rd logo? I'm thinking more about an iconic logo. something that can be recognizable without "MBDC" written on the side or if you still want to keep the wordmark logo, you can put land/dirt texture to replace the brown color and leave the top green. Instead of 2 bars you can just put one to separate the green and the dirt texture...
ReplyDeleteNichole – it is great that you have stretched and added a logo that goes in a completely different direction. Good for you! And, I think you could use that very corporate approach and add a leaf. Have you thought of that? I would recommend that you consider transforming the bottom terminal of the “C” into a leaf-like shape. Why not? Combine the 2 and you may have something stronger that says “corporate” and “nature” together. Isn’t that the point? Go for it – and see where it takes you.
