Farns_Brochure (In-progress) Pages 1-5

Hello Class!
For my MBDC Brochure Im trying to develop an asymmetrical transitional grid, after viewing other brochures on Bing images.  If anyone has any suggestions or pointers that would help make the layout look better, please speak up. I'm thinking on placing A drop shadow on the Green element, as well placing A watermark of my logo on the first page.

I also need suggestions for my inforgrapgh for A Sixth label. Remember that my Target Audience points towards Automotive Sustainability towards Ford and possibly General Motors.

Eleni-MBDC Pages 4-5 Spread

Here is my 4-5 spread so far. I have the dripping paint running across the page and decided to include my first infograph since it matched with the paint quite well. Since I have pretty wide margins, I had enough negative space on the left to include a sidebar and balance out the page with the hand infograph. I tried putting a light blue hue behind the text of the sidebar to unify with the monochromatic theme of the page, but I'm not sure if it should be lighter maybe? I also included a background image of a wooden wall/floor to show that "interior" feel since I am also appealing towards interior designers. I tried to give it the feel that the paint is painting the room. I wanted to keep it white for the simplicity but I felt the texture gave it a more intriguing appeal. Let me know what you guys think!

Eleni-Pages 2-3 Spread

This my 2-3 page spread. I tried to add wide margins to add a more contemporary, clean look to the page design. Also because I wanted to reserve some space for when I plan to add infographs possibly on the sides of the next few pages. I wanted to add the diagonal paint brush to add an appeal to the page as well as guide the eye along the pages. I'm still playing around with the text wrap, but let me know what you guys think!
Hey guys here is my spread 2-3;

Cradle to Cradle thinking - watch this

Hi all,
I came across this short animated video while researching the future of paper for Nichole. However, this is very much about how MBDC thinks about things. It's worth the time to watch it, particularly because our graphic design industry is very much tied into paper:

Design Brief and Infographic Comparison

I was not in class on Thursday so here are my thoughts for my infographic, fonts and colors. I tried to keep the fonts simple and the colors organic. The infographic comparison is two different columns so the information on the left is the negative effects of making so much paper, where as the information on the right is what could happen if things changed starting with the production of pulp itself.

SA_Brochure Cover

Hello Everyone,
It took me a week to decide what to do for my brochure cover... However, I am not satisfied yet...
I do need your opinion on which way to go and how I can improve it.
Thank you.

SA_Brochure Design Brief

Eleni-Cover Design Revision

As most of you agreed, this was the more striking image for the cover design, but I pulled it into Photoshop to make the orange paint green instead. I also enlarged the logo in comparison to the letters so the detail in the logo won't get lost when decreased in size. Let me know what you guys think!

Nicole - Brochure Cover

I chose to do a design like this because my brochure is attracting CEO's of pulp factories (factories that make large fiber boards that get turned into paper). The image I chose is from thinkstock and it does have a watermark over the green, but since the green is such a solid color i was able to cover it with a solid box of the same green just for the purpose of seeing this design.

The idea I had with this was that they are tearing away the past for a more green future that will help not only working conditions in these factories but the environment as a whole. I felt as though having the MBDC logo as a deep brown color and the leaf at the end, it would resemble the colors of trees, which is what pulp mills need in order to make the fiber boards.

Please let me know how you feel about the placement of the leaf in the logo as well as the color green I chose for the sub heading. I would like to keep it green to match the leaf in the logo, but if its too hard on the eyes I will change it.

Farns_MBDC logo (Secondary Element)

Hey Class! Heres an alternative approach for the MBDC logo, with 2 different variations. Please do comment on what you think?

Farns_Finalize Photos/ Logo Revisions

HI Class! Here are the graphics, ill be applying to my Brochure.

The images present production with costumer satisfaction. The arrow element of the logo, is to  show encouragement to Cradle to Cradle on changing the world. I also have A secondary Element in progress. I feel that, the arrows could be somewhat more professionally stylish. The colors are based off the image.
