Eleni-MBDC audience & photos

For my audience, I decided to go with a CEO from the paint industry. I chose this audience because I feel that paint is a very common used tool for many different types of spaces and environments. Though commonly used, paints are not quite eco-friendly, both with the formula they are made as well as how they are disposed of. Traditional paints tend to have high amounts of VOC (volatile organic compound) in their formula which means they have a high amount of chemicals. Should we make them eco-friendly with MBDC, they can be formulated to have less VOC, therefore to be safer for the environment and personal health. The process in which these paint cans are to be disposed of after use is also a huge issue for this industry. There is not a very stable process to how exactly dispose of paint cans besides recycle them after letting them dry. However, even with that process, it is no guarantee that they are properly degraded. There is also the paint take-back program but this enactment passed in only 3 states. I believe with the help of MBDC, we can evolve the traditional paint into an eco-friendly, biodegradable product. This way we can save the indoor environment that impacts your health, as well as the outdoor environment that effects us all.

  1. Eleni – I can see that your audience is well considered and you’ve done some good work in understanding the environmental issues of that industry. This makes a lot of sense for the brochure, as do your photos. Nice.
